All volumes contain multiple fold-out maps and/or illustrations: Volume I containing 2 of maps of circumpolar northern hemisphere, 1 each of Iceland and southern coast of Greenland; Volume II with 4 fold-out woodcut illustrations, a fold-out map of northern Asia and Europe, and multiple illustrations of flora and fauna; Volume III with fold-out maps of Newfoundland and Canadian Maritime coast, and one of Japan.
