London: E. & F. N. Spon, 1870–1881. Leather Bound. Royal 8vo. Uniformly bound in 3/4 black leather over cloth boards. Gilt lettering and decoration to spine, deckled foredges. Five raised bands. Profusely illustrated with black and white illustrations, drawings, tables and charts. Light edgewear, scuffing to leather (more prominently to Vol. I), Volumes VI and VII show some lifting of the cloth from beneath the leather along one corner. Light foxing along foredges with rare appearance to the contents otherwise content generally remains very clean and unmarked with tight, sound bindings. Overall, very good. Item #045797
