Author's presentation copy. Front endpaper inscribed in ink as follows: "Miss Simcoe With the Bishop's Christian Regards March 8th, 1857. Isaiah XXXV.1". Also reads: " P. J. Simcoe 1866- ". Written in the form of a diary, by Bishop David Anderson (1814-1885), the narrative gives a detailed description of the great flood of 1852 at the Red River Settlement.
