Two volume set handsomely bound in embellished green leather. Bound in full grained green calf, the boards embellished in blind, the spine in compartments stamped in blind with a matching pattern. All edges gilt. Signature of Henry Baker and year (1838) on inside front board, above a 20th century bookplate of previous owner, opposite which is his signature and date (April, 1933). Same to volume II, except no signature of Baker. Preliminary pages of volume I show some foxing; less so to volume II. Occasional light foxing to margins of later pages. Extremities of boards rubbed. Joints of both volumes beginning to split near base of spine. Some darkening (soiling?) to leather near base of spine of both volumes. Spines appear a trifle sunned.
