Extrait de La Correspondence de La Municipalite de Lille, Department du Nord avec l'Assemblee & la Convention Nationale
(?) Lille, France: ND (c. 1792). Paperback. Small 4to. Thirty-five printed pages on untrimmed rag-content paper (now showing some staining but perfectly legible) contained within an old 'scribbler'-style soft cover book which has the oval label of 'Collection / Quaree-Reybourbon / Lille' affixed to the inside blank page. Also laid-in loose is a hand-written card basically summarising the contents, which appear to be reports from 1792 to the various administrative, civil, and military departments 'on the necessary supply of food and munitions for the defense of the place [city]'. Much of the information contained within appears to deal with the aftermath of the French Revolution, when the Austrians laid siege to Lille for eight days in 1792. Item #9900044821
